The final Friendship Tournament this weekend

From Friday, Feb. 5 until Sunday, Feb. 7 tournament games and fundraising events will be taking place at the Jack Charron Arena and the Kanata Recreation Complex.
This year the tournament is even bigger than before with 32 teams taking part.
Friday begins with games from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and finishes with Karaoke at the Jack Charron arena.
Saturday starts with games from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The day features various fundraising events including a pancake breakfast, a bake sale, a silent auction and a chili challenge.
The pancake breakfast is from 8 until 11 a.m. in the Kanata Sports Club, above the Jack Charron Arena and costs $4.
The bake sale is taking place all day and the chili challenge is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Sunday is a day filled with semi-final games at the Jack Charron Arena, as well as the Cameron Smith Friendship Game at 1 p.m. The Friendship Game will be attended by Cameron's parents and local dignitaries. There is no admission charge to the game, as this is the tournament's final year, organizers have said that everyone is encouraged to stop by and show their "support for the Smith Family while they cheer on a bunch of great kids who are having fun playing community hockey, in Cameron's name."
An addition to this year's tournament is the Capital City Condors game at noon in the Jack Charron Arena. The Capital City Condors is a hockey team for players with special needs and focuses on fun and sportsmanship.
The tournament's championship game is scheduled for 3 p.m.

SILENT AUCTION
The silent auction will be taking place at the Kanata Recreation Complex on Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Bidding closes at 7 p.m., sharp.
Organizers have received some great silent auction items this year from many generous sponsors - more than 100 in total, including: a signed Daniel Alfredsson jersey, t-shirts and ball cap (personally donated by Daniel Alfredsson), a signed Chris Neil professional stick (personally donated by Chris Neil), a Jonathon Cheechoo signed cap, donated by Ottawa Senators, who also donated Sens tickets, a signed Carey Price professional goaltender stick (personally donated by Carey Price), a signed Scott Gomez professional CCM U+ CL hockey stick (personally donated by Scott Gomez), a signed Michael Cammalleri professional Easton Stealth 16 hockey stick (personally donated by Michael Cammalleri), Senators tickets for the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers home games, Bell Sensplex Ice Certificates, Pre-paid skate sharpening cards, Golf hats, golf balls and shirts, Basketball and Ultimate bet jerseys, original artist paintings, gift certificates and cards for Kanata's best eateries, stores and shops, Valentine's gift baskets and fresh cut flower gift certificates, and much, much, more.
