March 5. World Day of Prayer to be held at Grace - St. Andrew's United Church, 269 John Street North, Arnprior on Friday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m. All Welcome!!

March 6. Charity Exhibition Hockey Game Ottawa Senators Alumni vs Arnprior Packers Alumni on Saturday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at the Nick Smith Centre, Arnprior. This event is in support of the fourth annual Dare to Care Telethon. Tickets are available by calling 613-623-7981 or at the door.

March 6. Winter Warm-Up Dinner (ham, scalloped potatoes, beans, salad, dinner rolls, dessert, tea/coffee) at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (80 Daniel St. N., Arnprior) from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. For take out orders, please call 613-623-9940 before 3 p.m. on March 6. All are welcome.

March 7. Ninth annual Fillin' Fiesta from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall (295 Albert St., Arnprior). Featuring Dennis Alexander and His Old Time Band, Terri-Lynn Mahuskey, Bruce Armitage, Webb Acheson, Randy Foster, Keith Wilson. Everyone is welcome. Tickets available at the door.

March 7. Handford Studio Collection Launch, as part of Arnprior and McNab/Braeside Archives' Annual General Meeting at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior, starting at noon with a Logger's Brunch. Program starts at 1 p.m. Enjoy looking at a sample of this amazing collection and listening to a few families give a summary of their family history. Perhaps an image of one of your ancestors is in the collection? Free admission. Everyone welcome.

March 7. 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Making sense of adolescence with Darlene Denis-Friske from the Arnprior Child and Youth Counselling Center. Adolescence is less a static stage of development, and more so a bridge between childhood and adulthood. March 7. The retreat entitled "Praying with Paint" begins with a potluck dinner at Galilee Centre. Join Suzanne Manchevsky and Fr. Jack Lau, OMI for a week-long retreat where participants will produce an 8 x 10 icon on a prepared wooden panel using acrylic paint and gold leaf. Through prayer, and step-by-step instruction and guidance, participants will each "write an icon " of St. Francis. No painting experience is required. March 13. Fourth annual Stew Supper and Card Party organized by Arnprior Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star at the Masonic Hall, 31 James St. at 5:30 p.m. Open to the public, tickets are available from Shirley Frier 613-726-0969, Betty Jones 613-256-3388 or any member or at the door.

March 17. St. Patrick's Day Luncheon. Join us in the Dining Room at Galilee Centre and enjoy cream of broccoli soup, garden salad, tea biscuits, Irish stew, colcannon (potato, cabbage), and for dessert: carrot cake with cream cheese icing. March 19. "Irish Movie Night" featuring "The Waking of Ned Devine" on Friday, March 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available March 1 and include a complimentary Irish Stew at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Hall, Braeside. Funds going toward the Bell Tower Fundraising Project.

March 20. On the third Saturday of the month, January-May at 4:30 p.m. a Eucharistic Liturgy will be celebrated in a contemplative atmosphere in the De Mazenod Chapel at Galilee Centre. March 5. "Moses - The Bulrush Boy!" Musical production presented by St. Paul's United Church, 3760 Carp Rd., Carp. Performances: Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 6 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone welcome. Free-will offering gratefully accepted.

March 6. Annual Spring Dance. Country music with a "wee touch of the Irish" provided by the Peter White Band with Special Guests. Sponsored by the Eastern Regional Clydesdale Association to be held at the Carp Agricultural Hall from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. with exciting live auction taking place at 10 p.m. Light refreshments served.

March 7. The Carp Ridge Learning Centre is hosting a Families in Nature Walk from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Carp Ridge Ecowellness Centre at 2386 Thomas Dolan Parkway in Carp. The Carp Ridge Learning Centre, Families in Nature Program is planning to go Star Gazing on Friday, March 12, Saturday March 13 or Sunday, March 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Carp Ridge Ecowellness Centre, 2386 Thomas Dolan Parkway, Carp. St. Patrick's Day - Games, games, games some you know, some new like pool noodle, marble launch, chopstick pass, and walking on air. Come dressed "AS GREEN AS YOU CAN". Awesome prizes for best costumes. Also a "Green Scavenger Hunt". Thursday (March 18). Wii on the big screen "Rock Band" and "Mario Cart" six people at a time!! Great prizes, like an EB games gift card. We will also have lots of crafts to do.

March 17. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 616 in Constance Bay. Beginning at 4 p.m., Irish stew, Irish tunes, live entertainment in the members lounge at 7 p.m. featuring "Billy Wilson." Bingo as usual in the hall beginning at 7:15 p.m. Everyone welcome!
