EMC News - The branch newsletter "The Tannoy" is now available for pick up at the Legion.
Nadia thanks all of you that contributed information and articles.
Anyone that would like a copy mailed or delivered to them please call and leave your info with Les North at the branch.
Please note that everyone including members of the public are welcome to submit articles, stories, recipes, jokes, photos, requests etc. to this newsletter.
Euchre
On Feb. 23 euchre was played at the Legion Hall, with Gaenett Vaughn having the most lone hands. Lillian Baird had the ladies high score with Elma Bond placing second.
The men's high score was won by Joe Kelly with Randy Clouthier as the runner-up. Mildred Mayer had the low score with Nancy Codd having the hidden score.
The door prizes were won by Joan Bennett and Elma Bond.
Coming events
Euchre is played every Tuesday starting at 1:15 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
Bingo is played every Wednesday starting at 6:45 p.m.
Everyone in the community is welcome to participate in these events.
Recent events
"Karaoke" was held on Saturday, Feb. 20.
There was a small, but fun-loving, crowd with some great singers.
Gary and Gayle Rolfe joined in the fun for the first time.
The next "Karaoke" will be held on March 20 in the downstairs lounge starting at 8 p.m.
For your information
Bursary forms can be picked up at the Legion from the bartenders.
The deadline for the Ontario Bursary is the last Friday in March.
They must be sent to the Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Command at 89 Industrial Parkway North, Aurora, Ontario L4G-4C4.
The Branch Bursary forms must be at the Stittsville Branch by April 16 (no later).
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Stittsville Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 618 will be celebrating its 40th anniversary on March 20th with a tea served from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m at the Legion Hall.
We welcome everyone from the Legion and the community to help celebrate our 40 years service.
John Morrison, the Provincial Service Officer will be visiting the Stittsville Legion the week of March 1, 2010.

Anyone wishing to help out once a month at the weekly bingo can contact Stacy Parker 613-836-4330.
The next trip to the SLOTs will be Wednesday, March 3.

Sick and visiting
Mike Wharton is in hospital after suffering a stroke. We all wish him a speedy recovery.
