Baseball fans in Ottawa will have reason to cheer

Tweet ThisEMC Sports - The City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Stadium Group Ltd. (OSG) have signed a lease agreement for the use of the Ottawa Baseball Stadium.
OSG is proposing to have an Intercounty Baseball League team in the capital along with some community events.
"The Ottawa Stadium has been a centrepiece for semi-pro baseball in Ottawa since it first opened in 1993," said mayor Larry O'Brien. "Like all Ottawa baseball fans, I look forward to seeing the game return to our city."
"It's exciting to have professional and semi-professional baseball back in Ottawa," said councillor Bob Monette. "I wish them every success in the coming season. I am also thrilled that the community will be able to use the facility this summer, which was my primary goal all along."
