Nine tables of euchre played despite wintry weather
Posted Feb 2, 2012 By EMC NewsEMC News - Despite wintry weather conditions once again prevailing for the regular Thursday evening euchre at the Lions Hall in Stittsville last Thursday, players managed to fill up nine tables for the action.
When it was all said and done, Rosemarie Baine finished on top with a score of 72. Georgette St. John and Joe Kelly shared second spot at 70 points apiece.
Ann Temple's score of 43 grabbed her the booby prize while Dawnean Featherstone's 51 won for hidden score.
There were no skunks on the evening.
Jean Houle won the door prize while Heather Boyd and Randy Clouthier won the 50/50 draws.
Everyone is invited to attend these Thursday evening euchre parties which get underway at the Lions Hall every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Besides euchre, there are delicious snacks provided and lots of fun and chatter is guaranteed.
