Anyone can vote online in this competition, although you have to act fairly quickly as the voting ends on Friday, Feb. 3 at midnight. Voting takes place via the Kanata Chamber of Commerce website....City of Ottawa Stittsville ward councillor Shad Qadri reports that the city's 2012 capital budget includes $170,000 to install a sidewalk on the east side of Stittsville Main Street from Fernbank Road to Brigade Avenue which is all along Bell Memorial Park...The Stittsville District Lions Club are hosting a hypnotist's show on Saturday, March 17 which is St. Patrick's Day at the Lions Hall on Stittsville Main Street. Details to follow...Carolyn Clark, who is the president-elect of the Rotary Club of Ottawa - Stittsville, has recently returned from a trip to Japan where she visited with her son Tom and his family. The trip involved a 14 hour flight from Toronto as well as a 13 hour return flight to Toronto. That's a lot of air time...Ever wondered about taking an African safari?
