EMC News - The sounds of Ireland will be echoing at Captain Sandy's Cruise Holidays & Travel at the Jackson Trails Centre plaza in Stittsville this coming Saturday, Feb. 18.

That's because Ottawa Valley Irish entertainer Robin Averill will be there from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to provide entertaining stories and songs about his Irish homeland and to talk about an upcoming Shades of Ireland Tour.

Indeed, Robin Averill will be hosting this upcoming Shades of Ireland Tour which will take place from Sept. 4 to Sept. 16 this year.

And who better to tell about Ireland and to host such a tour than Robin Averill. Before coming to Canada from Ireland, Robin Averill had established himself as a top entertainer and vocalist with popular Irish show bands "The Signs" and "The College Boys." He had also entertained extensively throughout Ireland, England and Scotland.

In Canada, Robin has performed from coast to coast and has made numerous radio and television appearances. He has also been involved in numerous show and telethons to raise funds for charities.

His career in Canada has seen Robin entertaining Canadian Prime Ministers and Governors General. He performed at the Expo World Fair in Vancouver and has entertained Canadian troops in Germany.

He is always in much demand around St. Patrick's Day when, of course, everyone is Irish and wants to hear some of those favourite Irish tunes.
