EMC News - Do you think you know your geography? What about history?

And how's your knowledge about entertainment and music?

These and more will be the subject areas for rounds in the quiz night that is coming up on Saturday, March 3 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Community Bible Church on Stittsville Main Street in Stittsville.

Called "Quiz for a Cause," the event is being held as a fundraiser related to the church's partnership with a village in Kenya called Seje. Through this partnership, the Community Bible Church is helping to find a water solution for the village and is helping to start a school there. All profits from this quiz evening are going to help this village in Kenya.

Here's how the evening will work.

Teams of between four to eight players will take part in the quiz, with rounds based on geography, history, entertainment, music and the like. The entrance fee of $25 per person (which will increase to $30 per person after Thursday, Feb. 23) will entitle team members not only to quiz participation but also to a feast of chili and desserts. There will also be a Mocktail Bar and popcorn.

Most importantly, the evening promises to be a time of great fun and laughter.

Teams are now being recruited. So, if you think that you know your stuff and would enjoy the challenge of this quiz night, you can register your team either by contacting the church office at 613-836-2606 or by downloading the registration form from the church's website at www.cbcstittsville.com.
