60s music, karaoke at Legion Hall

The lounge at the Stittsville Legion Hall on Stittsville Main Street will be rockin' with the tunes of the 1960s this Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18 when "A Touch of Class" featuring Simon Clarke, formerly of "Freddie and the Dreamers" will be entertaining from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Dressed up in costumes from the 1950s as they enjoy the Valentines 50s Dance at the Stittsville Legion Hall last Saturday, Feb. 11, complete with images of the cars of the 1950s are, from left to right, Carie Barnett, Doug Barnett and Pat Fitzpatrick.
And what is even better, there is no charge to attend this afternoon of musical entertainment.
This afternoon of entertainment will follow an evening of entertainment as "Karaoke" with Corrine and Lee will be held at the Legion Hall on Friday, Feb. 17 starting at 8 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Stittsville Legion Hall is always a busy place. Euchre is played at the Legion Hall every Tuesday starting at 1:15 p.m. with everyone in the community welcome to attend.
Bingo is played every Wednesday starting at 6:45 p.m., again with everyone in the community welcome to attend.
Euchre was played at the Legion Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 8 with Alma Bond finishing with the ladies' high score with Gert Coghlan as the runner-up.
Garnet Vaughn had the men's high score with Dick Ross placing second.
D.J. O'Connell had the most lone hands while Pat Fitzpatrick had the hidden score. Bobby McGillvery had the low score.
Door prizes were won by Joanne Curnew and Randy Clouthier.
