Geography whiz at South Carleton

EMC News - South Carleton High School grade nine student Nic Vittorini knows his geography.

He won the Great Canadian Geography Challenges which was held at South Carleton High School. As the school's champion, he will be representing the school in the upcoming online provincial competition.

This Great Canadian Geography Challenge, which is administered by the Royal Canadian Geographic Society, consists of nine ten-question quizzes on Canadian and world geography. Top scorers in the in-class portion of the competition then participate in the school-wide event.

Ten students participated in this school-wide event at South Carleton, with students answering 25 questions pertaining to Canadian and world geography. Nic Vittorini and Katie Blaiklock finished in a tie which was broken with a tie-breaking question.
